I was walking home from college when I decided to take the long way and appreciate nature since it was such a beautiful day. I had a towel in my backpack still from lunch since I like to have picnics out on the greenery. As I was walking I got the idea to go to my favorite hidden spot by the river and enjoy the sun in peace and quiet. It's a long walk through the woods to my favorite spot but it's worth it. As I'm walking the path only I knew of, I kept hearing twigs breaking in the distance. I looked wearily out at the treeline but didn't see anything. I chastised myself for being so paranoid. It was most likely just a rabbit or deer.
